When life feels impossible

This makes it possible to live it.

Not by calming the storm. By giving you back enough peace and strength to stay in it — today, at 3 a.m., and for as long as you need. God is how.

When life is too much

You are not weak. You are carrying too much.

The bills. The relationships. The uncertainty. It all stacks up until you cannot think straight, and every bad thing starts making the next thing worse.

If that is what brought you here, you are in the right place. You are not looking for someone to fix your life. You just need a way to stop the bleeding. A way to keep bad from turning to worse. Something you can actually reach for when the waves will not stop coming.

If I told you the whole of my broken journey, I suspect many wouldn’t believe me. Even though every word of it is true.

I know that darkness. I lived in my Honda Civic getting battered by one thing after another. I did not need another inspirational quote. I needed medicine. Something I could actually use at 3 a.m. to keep life possible until morning.

That is what I found. A practice simple enough for the hardest moment. I call it Godbathing™.

The medicine

Reach higher when life drags you lower.

You lie down, let your body settle, and return to one phrase. It displaces the noise. It puts a shield between you and the storm. Peace, and the capacity to keep going, come back. Not someday. Now.

The phrase

“I choose God.”

Sometimes slowly. Sometimes gently. Sometimes forcefully.

We are not seeking God. We are choosing him, consciously, to displace everything trying to pull us under.

Godbathing™ has three levels: awake, drifting, and deep knowing. You learn how to use each one, so the practice can meet you wherever you are, even when you cannot think clearly and the only thing left is to hold on.

Most meditation apps teach you to empty your mind. That is why a lot of people of faith never settle with them. Godbathing™ does the opposite: it fills and fortifies you. You are not clearing your head and hoping for calm. You are choosing God, on purpose, stomping your foot in the puddle to push back what is trying to drown you.

The phrase is simple on purpose. Saying it when your mind is racing, your world is falling apart, and the clock reads 3 a.m. That is the skill. It is what we build together, through all three levels, until it holds when you need it most.

  1. SettleLet your body become still.
  2. ReturnRepeat the phrase without striving.
  3. PracticeBuild steadiness with a small group.

Grounded in a known relaxation response: the calming effect of repeated words and quiet focus has been studied for decades, including work associated with the Benson-Henry Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital.

What changes

It does not fix your life. It makes your life livable again.

This is not therapy, and it is not a magic fix. Your problems will still be there. The shift is in you. People notice it almost immediately:

  • Peace you can reach for tonight. Not because the situation got easier. Because you have somewhere to go when the walls close in, and it works in the moment.
  • Bad stops turning to worse. Instead of the habits, compulsions, and reactions that make everything harder, you reach higher. You displace the noise. You stay above it.
  • You can take more than you thought. Not because you are tougher. Because something is filling you instead of draining you. You flex when there is no strength left to win.
You do not have to believe it yet. You only have to use it.

    Common questions

A few things you may be wondering.

Is this a church? Do I have to leave mine?

This is not a church, and it is not against church. It does not come from a denomination. There is no membership to join and no doctrine to switch to. If you already have a church, keep it. If you don’t, you are still welcome. A speckle of faith is enough.

Do I need to be certain about my faith?

No. A little skepticism is fine. A speckle of faith is all I ask you to bring. Come to it as an experiment: try the practice and notice your own experience.

When does it meet, and how?
What if I cannot attend live?

Sessions 1 and 2 are the jumpstarts — please be there live. They are also recorded if something unavoidable comes up. Sessions 3–6 are live Q&A and sharing: an unhurried hour. We ease out; we don’t slam the door. Come when you can.

Will I be expected to share personal details?

No. The later sessions are for processing the experience together — questions, what came up, what didn’t. You may share if you want. You may stay quiet. No forced shares, tests, or awkward breakouts. You choose your display name and your comfort level.

Is this therapy or crisis support?

No. Godbathing™ is a spiritual-wellness and educational practice, not medical care, therapy, or crisis intervention. If you may harm yourself or someone else, contact emergency services or a crisis resource in your area now. You are welcome to return when you are safe and supported.

    What is the refund policy?

You may request a full refund within 7 days of the first session. No questions asked.

The mast is broken. The sails are torn.

    This is the medicine.

Not a miracle. Not a cure. A foundation under you when everything else is gone. Peace, and enough strength to keep life possible, until you can get your oars back in the water.

A speckle of faith is enough. The rest is the practice.
